Actor Prince David Osei has dropped a bombshell. He says none of the nice looking and sexy-bodied actresses he has played sex roles with in movies have ever succeeded in turning him on.
He admits having seen and enjoyed some parts of their bodies that most men would never have an easy access to, but claims he is too professional to be swayed by such things.
David’s revelation is in contrast to a widely-held perception that male actors have the chance to take advantage of actresses anytime they play sex roles with them.
David told NEWS-ONE that though he had acted several sex roles and played around the beautiful and sexy bodies of several actresses, never before had such roles made him feel for sex.
“Normally, I tune my mind whenever I am acting. It is not Prince David Osei that you see doing those things in the movies. I always make it look believable but I don’t get myself into it. I do all sorts of things in the movies and it ends there. You can ask my folks in the movie industry, I don’t take those roles as a World Cup tournament,” he said.
David’s remarks follows talks about his lovemaking scenes with Nollywood actress Uche Elendu, Veeda and Efe Stenes in an upcoming movie titled, ‘Behind The Heart’.
One of the sex scenes in the movie portrayed David lying back in a bed, with Veeda seated on top of him as he grabbed her buttocks and kneaded them smoothly as if they were flour meant for baking sugar bread.
“It was fun but I was being professional. It wasn’t as if there was any extra attachment. I just had to deliver. I just had to act and do what I had to do. It was all in line with the script and the directions from the director. There were not emotions,” he defended himself.
Prince David, in previous movies, had played steamy sex roles with top actresses such as Yvonne Nelson, Jackie Appiah, and Brenda Osei but his role with Martha Ankomah in ‘Kiss Me If You Can’, directed by Kobi Rana, is always remembered as his best when his sex scenes are reviewed.
Barely 5 years in the movie industry, David has become a household name not just in Ghana but on the African continent. He entered the industry late 2007, after he graduated from the University of Ghana where he read English and Theatre Management.
Becoming a public person was not part of David’s plans. He never wanted to be popular because he was not ready to live a celebrity lifestyle.
Unfortunately for him, that is where he finds himself today after he was discovered by Ivan Quashiga, all-time best director of hit TV series, ‘Things We Do For Love.’
His maiden appearance on TV was in a short drama, which was part of a programme called ‘Distance learning’ in 2006 by the then President PSI limited.
Currently, he has a lot of movies to his credit. They include ‘In The Eyes of My Husband’, ‘Passion and Soul’, ‘Supremo’, ‘Agony of the Christ’, ‘Sin of the Soul’, ‘Behind The Heart’, ‘The Heart of Men’, ‘Shakira’, ‘Dons of Sakawa’, ‘Kiss Me If You Can’ among others. He also featured in the Hollywood thriller ‘The Dead’, in which he starred alongside American actor Bob Freeman.
David believes he is among the top notch actors in Ghana’s movie industry.
“I am blowing my trumpet but if I have to mark myself, I think I will give myself 70%.”
