The first and second batches of Chris Brown’s technical team arrived in Accra over the weekend ahead of the Tuesday, March 5 concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.
They flew in with separate flights on Friday and Saturday. They’ve since settled down, and are currently helping in the construction of a make-shift stage as well as lighting rigs at the event grounds.
“They are going to help ensure that everything is on point to accommodate the star and his high energy electrifying dancers,” the organizers say.
“The stadium is set to boom with over 2000 Watts of powerful sound as Chris Brown – who is a stickler for giving electrifyingly pleasing performances – promises to give his fans in Ghana a right riveting thrill in a performance that will be spectacular as well as historic”.
The concert will also feature supporting local acts R2Bees, Efya, Samini, D Black and Sherifa Gunu.
The Hope City Launch Concert is in commemoration of the sod-cutting for a new technology village – Hope City by local mobile phone manufacturing giant rlg.
It is produced by Charterhouse, with support from GHOne and Empire Entertainment.
Tickets are selling for GH¢20 (OSU Stand), GH¢50 (Standard VIP) and GH¢100 (VIP).
